Megan Crawley has been a designer in the home decor and hospitality market for the past 12 years, during that time she created art prints for many leading retailers such as Crate and Barrel, Ballard Designs and Ethan Allen. After discovering that her talent for design went beyond just the artwork in a room, she began a career in interior design working at SoHo-based firm Dekar Design. There she gained experience decorating luxury apartments on Central Park West, new constructions in the Hamptons and updates on the exquisitely designed restaurant, BOBO in the West Village, among many other projects.

Continuing to follow her passion, Megan studied at Parsons and New York School of Interior Design before starting her own interior decorating business in 2015. She has her BFA in painting and drawing and loves to pull inspiration for rooms from her client's favorite artwork. Family heirlooms and antique finds are also great sources of inspiration when working to create a space that reflects the client's personality. She loves the challenge of making current decor work with the addition of new elements to create a polished and modern feel, and she is just as adept at starting fresh with all new décor depending on the project budget.

Megan works to understand her client’s vision and personal aesthetic, and adapts the design plan to fit the individual client’s needs. Above all else, she knows practical function and comfort are at the heart of any well-designed room. Megan is happy to work with you on any project, small or large, from simply selecting a new paint color or a new sofa, to a complete room makeover. She truly believes that she can help create a space that you will love for years to come and save you the time and money that can be lost from common decorating mistakes.

Megan calls Cobble Hill, Brooklyn home and loves to spend her Sundays strolling the neighborhood with her husband and son.

"Megan was a dream to work with: professional, down-to-earth, and easy to communicate with. We were suffering from decision fatigue--with two young kids and demanding jobs, we felt overwhelmed by the number of choices out there for home design, and lacked the energy and brain capacity to make decisions. Megan listened carefully to what we needed and wanted, and was able to quickly narrow down our choices by creating design boards. She was happy to work with our budget and was very amenable to sourcing pieces that aligned with our style--though she also presented us with options that we would never have thought of ourselves, many of which we ended up using! We found Megan particularly helpful in finding items that matched the scale of our living room and allowed us to make the most of limited space. Now that our living room is done, we can't help wishing that she had done all of the other rooms in our apartment too! We would absolutely hire her again for future projects."

"We recently used Megan to help decorate our pre-war coop apt that we had lived in for a year and had done no decorating to. I have never used a designer before but had no idea how to work with the space so decided to give one a try! I am very glad I stumbled upon Megan, She really listened to what our wants and needs were and worked with our complete lack of vision and indecisiveness. She is very positive and sees the potential in all spaces. She also stuck to our very modest budget and was direct and informative while not being pushy.
She helped select some great pieces that I would have not ever thought of using myself- though now that they are here can't imagine the space without them.
I highly recommend her and should any further decorating needs arise plan on using her in the future.

"I had a wonderful and easy experience working with Megan on a small size and small budget project. She was dedicated to making the most out of my living room, and helped to prioritize projects that made the room more functional and more aesthetically pleasing. She was professional and friendly, listened closely to what I wanted, and her suggestions were spot on. After coming over to see my space, she sent over inspiration boards, then once I started with some of the projects, she came to see the progress and make a few more suggestions Throughout the process, she was easily reachable by email and available for last minute questions that came up. I highly recommend working with Megan!"
